Name of Beneficiary: Nashiba Zawedde
Zawedde is 17 years old, and her baby turned one year on July 26th, 2022.Unfortunately, Nashiba never got to experience her father’s love because he died before she turned one. Her mother abandoned her with Grandma and went in search of work, but they lost contact with her after a short time. Because her grandmother couldn’t support the family, Nashiba was forced to look for casual jobs, where she became pregnant at the age of 16.
Sadly, her baby’s father vanished before she could give birth.Nashiba had always wanted to be a good fashion designer. In early 2022, she came to La’Marc Foundation seeking assistance because she couldn’t afford to buy the basic necessities for her baby, who appeared to be malnourished.
Her prayers were answered when Eden from Buna Tarik Roasters in Phoenix, USA offered to sell La’ Marc coffee and raised $500, which will fund Nashiba’s tailoring training. She couldn’t hold her tears after learning that she would begin her one-year training in November 2022.
She is now hoping that after her training in November 2023, she will be able to open a tailoring shop.
Nashiba has gone through counseling and preparation before she could start her training. She will continue to receive business mentorship and coaching as she under takes her tailoring course.
